Description |
Centrifμge the vial before opening. Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL in sterile distilled water. Avoid votex or vigorously pipetting the protein. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein or stablizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose), and aliquot the reconstituted protein solution to minimize free-thaw cycles. |
Background |
CD320 is a heavily glycosylated protein that is expressed as a noncovalent dimer in the kidney, placenta, liver, intestine, and secondary lymphoid organs (3 - 5). It functions as an endocytic receptor for circulating complexes of Cobalamin (Vitamin B12) and Transcobalamin II. In the immune system, CD320 is expressed by germinal center B cells and follicular dendritic cells (FDC) and provides a co‑stimulatory signal to B cells during the germinal center reaction (2, 6 - 8). CD320 also cooperates with CD44 in promoting the development of B cell lymphomas. |

Protein Description |
Recombinant Human CD320 Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala31-Thr704) of human CD320 (Accession #NP_002812.2) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus. |
