Introduction	UFC1 is a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. UFC1 is an E2-like conjugating enzyme for ubiquitin-fold modifier-1. UFM1 is activated by UBA5 (a novel E1-like enzyme) by forming a high-energy thioester bond. Activated UFM1 is subsequently transferred to its cognate E2-like enzyme, UFC1, in a similar thioester linkage.
Description	UFC1 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 187 amino acids (1-167 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 21.6kDa. UFC1 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance	Sterile Filtered clear solution.
Formulation	UFC1 protein solution (1mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 20% glycerol, 0.1M NaCl and 1mM DTT.
Purity	Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
