LONG-LIFETIME Fluorescence Polarization Labels
The SeTau Fluorescence Polarization (FP) Labels offer an alternative for measurements of antigens with a molecular weight from 10 to 80 kDa, in a fluorescence polarization immunoassay (FPIA). The conventional polarization labels or metal-ligand complexes (MLCs) do not cover this range. The labels have a lifetime of 9 to 32 ns.

SETA Viscosity-Sensitive Dyes
SETA Viscosity-Sensitive Dyes are fluorescent viscosity-sensitive probes designed for biomedical imaging and sensing applications. They are available in reactive (NHS ester and maleimide) and non-reactive formats.
The properties of molecular rotors, such as good solubility in aqueous media and buffers, their high photostability, a high Stokes shift, and absorption and emission in the visible range, offer advantages in applications.
The high sensitivity and their wide dynamic range stand out in lifetime as well as in intensity mode. Increasing emission intensity and fluorescence lifetime can be observed with increasing viscosity. The specific properties make molecular rotors ideal for monitoring environmental changes caused by protein folding or molecular interactions.

SETA Squaraine Rotaxane Dyes
SETA Squaraine Rotaxane Dyes represent a class of dyes from SETA BioMedicals that have been developed to address the shortcomings of conventional dyes. The SeTau-Squaraine-Rotaxane dyes combine many desirable properties of fluorescent reporters, including:
- High quantum yield (up to 65%) in water.
- High extinction coefficients of up to 250,000 M-1cm-1
- Fluorescence lifetimes of several ns
- High chemical and photostable properties
- Images stained with SeTau dyes are stable for hundreds of hours
SeTau dyes are available in reactive forms with carboxy, NHS ester and maleimide functionalities. They can be used to covalently bind to biomolecules to target specific cellular sites for in vitro and in vivo optical imaging. Another application would be to function as probes, for imaging and super-resolution microscopy.
The squarain redaxane dye SeTau-647 is currently the brightest marker available on the market for the Kr ion laser line (647 nm).
