As an international company, they are also involved in the fight against Covid-19 virus. In this context, various products have been developed by them, such as for detection by PCR: automated nucleic acid extraction equipment, PCR systems, fluorescence-based nucleic acid testing kits, and nucleic acid extraction and purification kits. Furthermore, for detection, rapid antigen tests and antibody tests, as well as 2019-nCov neutralization antibody test kits were launched. The latter are used to evaluate vaccination efficacy or scatter.

Thanks to the cooperation with Lepu Medical Technology we, Hölzel Diagnostika Handels GmbH, are able to make the NASOCHECKcomfort SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test (Colloidal Gold Immunochromatographie) available to you.

The test detects the COVID-19 antigen by gold-labeled monoclonal SARS-CoV-2 N protein antibody. The antibody is located in the pre-coated adhesive pad, as well as fixed on the test line (T) and in the quality control line (C).

The long detection time from the first phase of infection (2-3 days before the onset of symptoms) to the last phase of infection (7-10 days after the possible onset of symptoms) is hereby possible.

The test offers distinct advantages over other manufacturers: the ease of use facilitates the testing procedure, as the short sterile swab only needs to be rolled 2 cm deep in both nostrils and inserted into the test card. This makes testing painless and non-invasive.

The Rapid Antigen Test offers excellent quality, which has been tested and confirmed by the Paul Ehrlich Institute. It is listed with the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM). With 95.06% diagnostic sensitivity (the probability that a diagnostic test will diagnose a sick person as sick) and 99.62% diagnostic specificity (the probability that healthy people who do not have the tested disease will actually be identified as healthy in the test), the test offers high safety.
