Clent Life Science is our supplier of molecular biology products under the Microzone, highQu and Biofire Defense brands. The company was founded in 2009 and is based in the West Lands (UK). Working with innovative suppliers to the life science industry, our partner Clent Life Science has selected a range of high quality products with ease of use and thoughtful design.

Products

Clent Life Sciences portfolio includes products for facilitated DNA extraction and purification, products for PCR optimization, products for effective sequencing and electrophoresis, as well as special one-tube mastermixes for a wide range of PCR applications. Magnetic bead-based separation products are a new addition to their product line.

MicroLYSIS RNA

The MicroLYSIS RNA Kit is the alternative for conventional RNA extractions with columns or beads. The kit is easy to use and efficient for swabs and saliva, or viral transport media. MicroLYSIS RNA releases the RNA into buffer, which can be immediately used for reverse transcription and PCR amplification. No harsh chemicals, as is common in classical extraction, are required. The product is suitable for the preparation of SARS-CoV-2 detection by PCR. It is a rapid 15-minute method. Another advantage is the one-tube method, as no RNA gets lost and the environment is protected due to few consumables.

MicroLYSIS

The MicroLYSIS DNA release buffer has been optimized for lysis of commonly used cells. These include bacterial cells, yeast and human cells. The lysis reagent allows PCR-ready DNA including plasmid preparation in only 15 minutes. The cells only need to be added to the MicroLYSIS solution and run through a thermal cycle. The lysate can be stored at -20 °C for further analysis.

MicroLYSIS-PLUS

MicroLYSIS-PLUS is a more complex formulated lysis reagent, specifically designed for lysis application to particularly challenging sources. Even the most challenging bacterial cells, spores and fungi cells, as well as some animal tissues can be lysed.

MegaMix Blue

MegaMix Blue is a PCR master mix with a blue agarose loading dye, making an additional loading buffer unnecessary. In addition, easy visualization is provided. The blue dye does not fluoresce at wavelengths common to automated DNA sequencers. Since no restriction enzymes or ligases are inhibited, MegaMix Blue merely supports the PCR process and does not interfere with it in any way.

MegaMix Gold

MegaMix Gold is a hot-start PCR master mix that enables work in very demanding PCR systems. MasterMix Gold is supplied in double concentration and contains all necessary components for efficient DNA amplification. The background could be minimized and the yield maximized.

MegaMix Royal

The MegaMix Royal is a recalibration of the MegaMix Gold and therefore has the same advantages of the MegaMix Gold. It is also a hot-start PCR master mix and contains the same blue dye as MegaMix Blue.

MegaMix Quant

MegaMix Quant is a qPCR master mix. It does not contain a ROX reference dye, but one can be added as needed.
