Aoke Botai Biotech
Aoke Botai, headquartered in Wuhan, China, was founded in 2002. The company's main focus is on the development, production and marketing of monoclonal antibodies (mAb) and antigens for in vitro diagnostics. It is an ISO19001-2016 and ISO9001:2015 certified company. Aoke Botai is a strategic partner of many IVD large reagent manufacturers in China. The antibodies of various product categories are comparable to top international brands.
Products
Their antibody and antigen products are divided into the categories: Infectious Diseases, Diabetes and Metabolism, Hormones and Pregnancy, PCR, Inflammation, Tumor Markers, Cardiac Markers, Renal Markers, Thyroid Markers, Serology, Veterinary and Others. Some examples are presented below.
HBeAg
HBeAg Hepatitis B virus protein, serves as an indicator of active virus replication. Aoke Botai is the first company to develop mAb for detection of HBeAg. The active viral replication indicates that the corresponding person is diseased and infectious.

Interleukin 6 (IL-6)
IL-6 is one of the cytokines, proteins that regulate cell growth and differentiation. IL-6 is produced immediately and transiently in response to infection and tissue injury and contributes to host defense by stimulating acute phase responses, hematopoiesis, and immune responses.

2019-nCOV
The 2019-novel coronavirus (2019-nCov), causes illnesses ranging from colds to severe disease. It is a membrane enveloped RNA virus and forms virions. Large (20-25 nm long) surface proteins sit on them.
The single-stranded RNA genome with a length of about 30 kilobases, is the largest known genome (applies to corona viruses in general) of all RNA viruses. The genome codes for several proteins. On the one hand for non-structural proteins, which are necessary for RNA replication. On the other hand for the four structural proteins S, E, M and N.
The nucleocapsid consists of the N protein (nucleoprotein) and viral genome. This is enveloped by the viral membrane, in which the S, E and M proteins are embedded. The Spike (S) protein is used to enter the host cell and consists of two subunits. The S1 subunit contains the Receptor binding domain (RBD), which can specifically bind to host cell ACE-2 receptor. High ACE-2 receptor density exists in the respiratory tract, as well as in the intestine, vascular cells, kidney, myocardium, and other organs. The S2 subunit mediates the subsequent fusion of the viral envelope and cell membrane. Furthermore, the S protein induces neutralizing (protective) antibodies.
