Description	FKBP2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 122 amino acids (22-142 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 13.4 kDa. The FKBP2 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Storage/Stability	Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity	Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Form	The FKBP2 solution contains 20mM Tris-HCl pH-8, 1mM DTT, and 10% glycerol.
Protein Background	FKBP2 is part of the immunophilin protein family, which takes part in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes involving protein folding and trafficking. FKBP2 is a cis-trans prolyl isomerase that binds the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin. FKBP2 functions as an ER chaperone and as a component of membrane cytoskeletal scaffolds.
