Description: MB-07811 (also known as prodrug of MB-07344, and VK-2809), a liver-targeted thyroid hormone receptor-beta (TRB) agonist, is a novel, potent and orally bioavailable HepDirect prodrug of MB07344. MB-07811 has cholesterol and triglycerides lowering activity and thus can be potentially used for the treatment of hyperlipidemia. MB-07811 is a novel phosphonate-containing thyroid hormone receptor agonist that is the first application of the HepDirect liver-targeting approach to a non-nucleotide agent.
