Description: (R)-Lercanidipine is the R-enantiomer of Lercanidipine.Lercanidipine HCl (REC-15-237, Lercadip, Lerdip, Zanidip) is a 3rdgeneration and lipophilic CCB (calcium channel blocker) of thedihydropyridine class and amedication used to treat high blood pressure, with long lastingantihypertensive action and reno-protective effect. It works by relaxingand opening the blood vessels allowing the blood to circulate morefreely around the body. This lowers the blood pressure and allows theheart to work more efficiently.
