Description: Dinoprost Tromethamine (Prostaglandin F2alpha; PGF2alpha THAM; Prostaglandin F2alpha THAM) is a potent, naturally occurring and orally bioactive prostaglandin that acts as a prostaglandin F (PGF) receptor (FP receptor) agonist with oxytocic, luteolytic, and abortifacient activities. It is a naturally occurring luteolytic hormone produced locally in the endometrial luminal epithelium and corpus luteum (CL), and plays a key role in the onset and progression of labour, also used as a prostaglandin in medicine to induce labor.
