It is also a potent radiosensitizer and a DNA synthesis inhibitor with a broad spectrum antcancer activity. Triapine displays potent anti-proliferative activity in vitro against various cancer cell lines such as murine M109 lung carcinoma and human A2780 ovarian carcinoma. Moreover, Triapine shows high in vivo antitumor efficacy against the M109 lung carcinoma and human A2780 ovarian carcinoma xenograft mice.
