Information	.Hoechst 33342 (Pibenzimol, bisBenzimide H 33342, HOE 33342, HO342) is a membrane-permeant fluorescent stain that can stain live cells. Hoechst 33342 binds to adenine-thymine-rich regions of DNA in the minor groove and greatly increases the fluorescence. It allows easy visualization of the nucleus in interphase cells and chromosomes in mitotic cells.
