Genway ID:
GWB-E54885
Specificity:
CD18
Specificity:
CD18
Clone:
L13/64
Immunogen:
RL-5 T cell line glycoproteins
Fusion Partner:
Spleen cells from immunised mice were fused with cells of the P3 X63. Ag8-U1 mouse myeloma cell line.
Specificity Note:
Immunoprecipitates four protein bands from RL-5 cells and spleen cells of 158 145 95 and 90kDa. These are CD11a CD11c CD18 and an intracellular precursor of CD18. Two bands are obtained from neutrophils of 155 and 95kDa. L13/64 inhibits phorbol ester-stimulated aggregation of RL-5 cells.
Preparation:
Tissue Culture Supernatant containing 0. 2M Tris/HCl pH7. 4 and 5-10% foetal calf serum
Preservative Stabilisers:
0. 09%Sodium AzideSuggested
Flow Cytometry:
Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label whole rabbit blood. Suggested
Dilution:
Flow Cytometry - Neat
Function:
Integrin alpha-L/beta-2 is a receptor for ICAM1 ICAM2 ICAM3 and ICAM4. Integrins alpha-M/beta-2 and alpha-X/beta-2 are receptors for the iC3b fragment of the third complement component and for fibrinogen. Integrin alpha-X/beta-2 recognizes the sequence G-P-R in fibrinogen alpha-chain. Integrin alpha-M/beta-2 recognizes P1 and P2 peptides of fibrinogen gamma chain. Integrin alpha-M/beta-2 is also a receptor for factor X. Integrin alpha-D/beta-2 is a receptor for ICAM3 and VCAM1.
Subunit:
Heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit. Beta-2 associates with either alpha-L alpha-M alpha-X or alpha-D. Interacts with COPS5 and RANBP9 (By similarity).
Subcellular Location:
Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Similarity:
Belongs to the integrin beta chain family.
Similarity:
Contains 1 VWFA domain. 1. Jackson. S. et al. (1983) Differentiation antigens identify subpopulations of rabbit T and B lymphocytes. Definition by flow cytometry 2. Wilkinson. J. M. et al.
