A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in the C-terminus of human MIP-1 beta/CCL4 was used as an immunogen.

WB: 1:10 000 - 20 000 (10ng). Macrophage inflammatory protein-1 beta (MIP-1 beta/CCL4) belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family (1). MIP-1 beta functions to promote accumulation of lymphocyte marcorphages monocytes and NK cells during various inflammatory conditions through its chemotactic properties. MIP-1 beta is an essential inhibitor of cell infection by human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1). MIP-1 beta inhibits HIV-1 by blocking or down-regulating the receptors CCR5 one of coreceptor for HIV-1 entry (2).
