Polyclonal IgGSpecies Cross Reactivity: Reacts with: Mouse RatN. B. Antibody reactivity and working conditions may vary between species.
Buffer Solution:
Phosphate buffered saline
Preservative Stabilisers:
0. 02% Sodium Azide (NaN3)Approx. Protein Concentrations: IgG concentration 1. 0mg/ml
Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to a 15 aa sequence from near the carboxy terminus of human ATG10.
Specificity:
Recognises human Autophagy-related protein 10 (ATG10). ATG10 is an E2-like enzyme involved in two ubiquitin-like modifications essential for autophagosome formation: ATG12-ATG5 conjugation and the modification of a soluble form of MAP-LC3 a homolog of yeast Apg8 to a membrane-bound form. ATG10 has also been shown to interact with ATG12 in human embryonic kidney cells in the presence of ATG7. Research has demonstrated that multiple isoforms of ATG10 exist. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: Sheep Anti Rabbit IgG
Function:
Plays a role in autophagy By similarity. ATG12-conjugating enzyme (E2-like enzyme) likely serves as an ATG5-recognition molecule. Subunit structureInteracts with MAP1LC3A. By interacting with MAP1LC3A it plays a role in the conjugation of ATG12 to ATG5. Also able to directly interact either with ATG5 or ATG7 By similarity. Subcellular locationCytoplasm Probable. Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the ATG10 family. Sequence cautionThe sequence BC004551 differs from that shown. Reason: Frameshift at position 26. The sequence BC027718 differs from that shown. Reason: Frameshift at position 26. 1. Wijdenes J. et al.
