Luciferase is a luminescent enzyme mostly known for its role as a reporter protein.

Catalytic Activity:	Photinus luciferin + O2 + ATP = oxidized Photinus luciferin + CO2 + AMP + diphosphate + light. Cofactor: Magnesium.
