Sequence:
Peptide with sequence C-LKRGLRRDGIIPT from the C Terminus of the Notes: Western blot: Approx 55kDa and 40kDa bands seen in mouse brain extracts. Recommended for use at 0. 5-2ug/ml. Please note that the two bands may correspond to two different isoforms. Two isoforms of the epsilon mRNA have been detected in Northern blots (J Biol Chem 1996 Sep 6; 271(36):22081-9). Summary: The product of this gene belongs to the phosphatase 2A regulatory subunit B family. Protein phosphatase 2A is one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases and it is implicated in the negative control of cell growth and division. It consists of a common heteromeric core enzyme which is composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. The B regulatory subunit might modulate substrate selectivity and catalytic activity. This protein is an epsilon isoform of the regulatory subunit B56 subfamily. [provided by RefSeq]. [1] Sablina A.
