Background
Signal Seeker kits use affinity beads to pull-out and enrich modified proteins from any given cell or tissue lysate. The enriched protein population is then analyzed by standard western blot procedures using a primary antibody to the target protein.
Advantages
Discover and publish novel regulatory mechanisms.
Detect highly transient regulation of protein modifications.
Use different kits to build a temporal protein regulation profile.
Investigate the role of known protein modifications in your system.
Obtain data for endogenous proteins.
Discover novel biomarkers.
Complements and enriches proteomic approaches.
Kit contents
The kit contains sufficient reagents to perform 30 phosphotyrosine immunoprecipitation reactions: The following components are included in the kit.
BLASTR Lysis Buffer
BLASTR Dilution Buffer
BLASTR Wash Buffer
Protease Inhibitor Cocktail
Tyrosine Phosphatase Inhibitor
Phosphotyrosine Affinity Beads
IP Control Beads
Anti-phosphotyrosine-HRP antibody
Precision Red Protein Assay Reagent
Bead Elution Buffer

Overview
Protein regulation during signal transduction and other cellular events is, by necessity, a rapid and dynamic process. Most often, these mechanisms involve modification of an extremely small fraction of the protein target. This makes the scientists job of capturing key regulatory processes difficult and frustrating. Analysis of key regulatory mechanisms involving phosphorylation, ubiquitination, SUMOylation or acetylation has historically required a huge investment of time and effort.
