Description
Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) is a member of the Carcinoembryonic Antigen family, which belongs to the Immunoglobulin supefamily. CEA mediates cell adhesion via homophilic as well as heterophilic binding to other proteins of the subgroup. Multiple cellular activities have been attributed to the CEAs, including roles in the differentiation and arrangement of tissue three-dimensional structure, angiogenesis, apoptosis, tumor suppression, metastasis, and the modulation of innate and adaptive immune responses.
Formulation
Supplied as a liquid in 10 mM PBS, pH 7.5, with 0.1% NaN3. Precaution: Sodium azide is a poisonous and hazardous substance which should be handled by trained staff only.
Storage and Stability
Store in working aliquots at -20C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
