Storage Conditions |
This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-4C, but should be kept desiccated at -20C for long term storage. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is stable for up to one week at 2-4C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |
Molecular Weight |
14.8 kDa |
Description |
Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand Receptor 2 (TRAIL-R2) is a cell-surface receptor involved in tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL)-induced cell-death signaling. The death ligand TRAIL bears high potential as a new anticancer agent because binding to the death receptors TRAIL-R1 or TRAIL-R2 triggers apoptosis in most cancer cells. TRAIL-R2 has been shown to be associated with a decrease in the survival rates of breast cancer patients. Recombinant Human TRAIL-R2/TNFRSF10B is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 132 amino acids. |
Formulation |
Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4. |
Reconstitution |
Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Add sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions. |
Specificity |
>5.0 x 10E5 IU/mg. |
Biological Activity |
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 determined by its ability to inhibit TRAIL-mediated cytotoxicity using mouse L929 cells treated with TRAILl is less than 2 ng/ml, |
Endotoxin Level |
< 1EU/ug as determined by LAL method. |
