Description
Fatty acid binding proteins (FABPs) are a class of cytoplasmic proteins that bind long chain fatty acid and play an important role in the intracellular utilization of fatty acids. Human fatty acid binding proteins (FABPs) are tissue specific intracellular molecules. In Acute Mycardial Infarction (AMI), human heart fatty acid binding protein is rapidly released from damaged cardiomyocytes into the circulation due to its small size.
Formulation
Liquid in 20 mM potassium phosphate + 0.1 M NaCl.
Molecular Weight
ca. 14-15 kDa
Storage and Stability
Stable for 1 year at 2-4C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
