Description	Mouse Anti-Rat IL-10 Clone 2G101H7 monoclonal antibody. IL-10 is a cytokine produced primarily by monocytes and to a lesser extent by lymphocytes. It has pleiotropic effects in immunoregulation and inflammation. IL-10 down-regulates the expression of Th1 cytokines, MHC class II Ags, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages. It also enhances B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production. It can block NF-kappa B activity and is involved in the regulation of the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. Knockout studies in mice suggest that IL-10 is an essential immunoregulator in the intestinal tract.
Formulation	Purified immunoglobulin in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.2, carrier and preservative free. Sterile filtered through a 0.22 micron filter.
