Boster's One Step RT PCR Kit contains all the reagents necessary for firsta€strand cDNA synthesis and the subsequent PCR, without the template. The Master Mix contains proprietary Reverse Transcriptase, Ribonuclease Inhibitor, dNTPs and a finely balanced ratio of Oligo(dT)s and Random Primers. The Master Mix also has the high specificity of hot start polymerase. The Reverse Transcriptase catalyzes the synthesis of complementary DNA strands from singlea€stranded RNA/DNA templates. The Reverse Transcriptase is a proprietary engineered version of the native reverse transcriptase enzyme from Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus. The kit also contains the Band Sharpener which can improve the results if template has high G+C region or secondary structure.

The native Reverse Transcriptase has RNase H capacity and degrades mRNA. Using a series of strategic targeted mutations, our scientists successfully nullified the RNase H activity of our RT enzyme, thus preventing RNA degradation during first-strand cDNA synthesis, resulting in higher yields and increase in the achievable length of synthesized cDNA. The engineered Reverse Transcriptase also contains a fidelitya€enhancing sub-unit which ensures superior accuracy in reverse transcription.
Other components in the Master Mix:
The Ribonuclease Inhibitor protects RNA templates from RNases. The random primers anneal to any type of RNA as template. The Oligo(dT)s only anneal to the Poly(A) tail of mRNA.
