Background
The RDR5 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with human CD127, a 60-90 kDA type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as the IL-7 receptor alpha chain. CD127 binds with CD132 (gamma c) to forms the IL-7 receptor that is expressed on mature T cells and immature B cells. Since CD127 expression is downregulated in Treg cells, it can be used as a marker for differentiating them from common T cells. The binding of the RDR5 antibody can be blocked by pre-incubating the cells with human IL-7.
