Immunogen	SPATA3 antibody was raised against a 17 amino acid synthetic peptide near the carboxy terminus of human SPATA3. The immunogen is located within the last 50 amino acids of SPATA3.
Applications	SPATA3 antibody can be used for detection of SPATA3 by Western blot at 1 - 2 μ g/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 2.5 μ g/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 μ g/mL. Antibody validated: Western Blot in mouse samples; Immunohistochemistry in mouse samples and Immunofluorescence in mouse samples. All other applications and species not yet tested.
Specificity	At least three isoforms of SPATA3 are known to exist; this antibody will detect only the longest two isoforms. SPATA3 antibody is predicted to not cross-react with SPATA protein family members

Background	SPATA3 Antibody: The testis and spermatogenesis cell apoptosis related gene 1 (TSARG1) protein, also known as SPATA3, is highly expressed in testis, and to a lower extent in other tissues. SPATA3 contains a highly conserved J domain, which is present in all DnaJ-like proteins, and is thus a novel member of the HSP40 protein family. SPATA3 is thought to be involved in apoptosis of spermatogenic cells.
