DE3 Chemically Competent Cell is designed for chemical transformation of DNA. This cell is resistant to chloramphenicol (Cam
R), with a transformation efficiency of over 10
7 cfu/µg DNA (tested by pUC19 plasmid DNA). The control plasmid (Amp
+) is used for detection of cell expression functions (protein size: ~25 kDa). tRNAs for 6 rare codons (AUA, AGG, AGA, CUA, CCC, GGA) enhance the expression level of proteins in the prokaryotic system.
