Product Description	Fatty acid-binding protein 1 (FABP1) also known as liver-type fatty acid-binding protein (L-FABP) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FABP1 gene.FABP1 encodes the fatty acid-binding protein found in liver. Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. FABP1 and FABP6 (the ileal fatty acid binding protein) are also able to bind bile acids. It is thought that FABPs roles include fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism.
Immunogen	Immunogen was recombinant protein derived from Human FABP1. This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction of tissue culture supernatant was purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
