The Canine Echinococcus Antigen GENLISA ELISA is used as an analytical tool for qualitative laboratory screening of presence or absence of Canine Echinococcus Antigen in the serum, plasma, other body fluid. Canine echinococcosis, caused by infection with the larval stage of the Echinococcus granulosus tapeworm, is a life-threatening zoonosis of worldwide distribution. The adult worm parasitizes the small intestine of dogs, which become infected after eating offal of an animal contaminated with the parasite, and releases eggs into the environment that can be accidentally ingested by domestic animals or humans, maintaining the life cycle of the parasite. This ELISA kit is only used as the qualitative detection of Canine Echinococcus Antigen in samples in vitro. The Micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Echinococcus granulosus monoclonal antibody. Control solution and samples are added into Micro-plate and incubate. If Canine Echinococcus Antigen exists in the samples, it will be bound with the antibody pre-coated on the micro- plate. Then wash the plate to remove unbound antibodies and other components, add the HRP conjugate to specifically bind with the compound of antibody and antigen on the micro-plate. The unbound HRP conjugate will be removed by washing. Add TMB substrate in the wells, it will react with the enzyme and become blue, the shade of color is of positive correlation with Canine Echinococcus Antigen levels in the samples. Finally, end the reaction by adding stop solution to produce a yellow product. Measure the absorbance value of each well at 450 nm with a Micro-plate reader, then the presence of Canine Echinococcus Antigen can be determined. |
