Description	Tyrosyl-DNA phosphodiesterase (TDP1) is a DNA repair enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of a phophodiester bond between a tyrosine residue and a DNA 3' phosphate. This protein is a member of the phospholipase D (PLD) superfamily and contains two PLD phosphodiesterase domains. Mutations in TDP1 are associated with the disease spinocerebellar ataxia with axonal neuropathy (SCAN1) by interfering with DNA transcription or by inducting apoptosis in postmitotic neurons.

Storage	Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
Usage	The antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:1000 ca. 2000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:1000.
