Description	InvivoChem Cat #:V3171CAS #:1365970-03-1Purity >=98% Description: Glecaprevir (previously known as ABT-493 and/or A-1282576; trade name: Mavyret) is a novel and potent inhibitor of the HCV NS3/4A protease (HCV: hepatitis C virus; NS: nonstructural) with IC50 ranging from 3.5 to 11.3 nM. Glecaprevir has the potential to be used as an anti-HCV agent and is currently undergoing phase 3 clinical trials for HCV treatment by AbbVie. Glecaprevir is a direct-acting antiviral (DAA) which demonstrated potent antiviral activity against major HCV genotypes and high barriers to resistance in vitro. It also exhibited an acceptable safety profile during a 3-day monotherapy in patients with HCV genotype 1 infection, with or without compensated cirrhosis. In August 2017, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the combination drug glecaprevir/pibrentasvir (trade name Mavyret) for the treatment of all major genotypes (1–6) of chronic hepatitis C.
