Description: Duloxetine HCl (formerly LY-248686 HCl; LY248686; trade names Cymbalta; Yentreve), the hydrochloride salt of Duloxetine which is an approved antidepressant medication, is a potent serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) with potential anti-depressive activity. It inhibits SNRI with a Ki of 4.6 nM. Duloxetine has been used for treating various indications such as major depressive disorders, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain as well as stress urinary incontinence. Duloxetine is marketed under the brand name Cymbalta among others.
