A synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Serine 78 of human HSP27 was used as immunogen. The antibody will detect Src phosphorylation on Serine 78.

HSP27 is expressed in response to environmental stresses such as heat shock or estrogen stimulation in MCF-7 cells (1 2).
