Genway ID:
GWB-7198D2
Specificity:
PHAP I (C-TERMINAL)
Isotype:
Polyclonal IgGSpecies Cross Reactivity: Reacts with: Mouse RatN. B. Antibody reactivity and working conditions may vary between species.
Buffer Solution:
Phosphate buffered saline
Preservative Stabilisers:
0. 02% Sodium Azide (NaN3)Approx. Protein Concentrations: IgG concentration 1. 0mg/ml
Immunogen:
A peptide corresponding to amino acids at the carboxy terminus of human PHAP I
Specificity:
Recognises the carboxy terminal of human PHAP I (putative LHA-DR-associated protein). PHAP I is one of the known isoforms of PHAP. PHAP I plays a role in a number of cellular processes including proliferation differentiation apoptosis and tumour suppression. It is expressed in a variety of tissues with highest expression in kidney and skeletal muscle.
Specificity:
Does not cross-react with other isoforms of PHAP. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: Sheep Anti Rabbit IgGGoat Anti Rabbit IgG (Fc)Goat Anti Rabbit IgG (H/L)
Function:
Implicated in a number of cellular processes including proliferation differentiation caspase-dependent and caspase-independent apoptosis suppression of transformation (tumor suppressor) inhibition of protein phosphatase 2A regulation of mRNA trafficking and stability in association with ELAVL1 and inhibition of acetyltransferases as part of the INHAT (inhibitor of histone acetyltransferases) complex. Plays a role in E4F1-mediated transcriptional repression. Ref. 6Ref. 11Ref. 14Ref. 17Subunit structureComponent of the SET complex which also contains SET APEX1 HMGB2 and NME1. Directly interacts with SET. Interacts with ATXN1/SCA1. Interacts with MAP1B By similarity. Interacts with ELAVL1. Part of the INHAT (inhibitor of histone acetyltransferases) complex. Interacts with E4F1. Ref. 17Ref. 12Ref. 13Ref. 15Subcellular locationNucleus. Cytoplasm.
Note:
Shuttles between nucleus and cytoplasm. Ref. 6Ref. 11Ref. 15Tissue specificityExpressed in all tissues tested. Highly expressed in kidney and skeletal muscle moderate levels of expression in brain placenta and pancreas and weakly expressed in lung. Found in all regions of the brain examined (amygdala caudate nucleus corpus callosum hippocampus and thalamus) with highest levels in amygdala. Ref. 6Post-translational modificationPhosphorylated on serine residues. Ref. 18Ref. 19The N-terminus is blocked. Some glutamate residues are glycylated by TTLL8. This modification occurs exclusively on glutamate residues and results in a glycine chain on the gamma-carboxyl group By similarity. Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the ANP32 family. Contains 4 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats. Sequence cautionThe sequence BAD97000. 1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. 1. Barcos M. et al.
