Host Animal: |
Rabbit |
Immunogen: |
Synthetic peptide corresponding to 16 amino acids near the carboxy terminal of human TNFRSF14 (Genbank accession No. Q92956) |
Specificity: |
Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily 14 (TNFRSF14) C-terminal |
Specificity: |
Reacts with human TNFRSF14. TNFRSF14 was initially identified as the Herpesvirus entry mediator (2) and upon binding to the herpes simplex virus (HSV) envelope glycoprotein D or either of its natural ligands LIGHT and lymphotoxin alpha (LT alpha) activates the transcription factors NF-kappaB and AP-1 (3 4). Activation of this signal transduction pathway in T cells stimulates T cell proliferation and cytokine production leading to inflammation and enhanced CTL-mediated tumor immunity. |

Warning: |
This product contains sodium azide which has been classified as Xn (Harmful) in European Directive 67/548/EEC in the concentration range of 0. 1â ??1. 0%. When disposing of this reagent through lead or copper plumbing flush with copious volumes of water to prevent azide build-up in drains. Rabbit anti TNFRSF14 (CT). Rabbit Antibody to Human Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily 14 (TNFRSF14) C-terminal |
Function: |
Receptor for BTLA. Receptor for TNFSF14/LIGHT and homotrimeric TNFSF1/lymphotoxin-alpha. Involved in lymphocyte activation. Plays an important role in HSV pathogenesis because it enhanced the entry of several wild-type HSV strains of both serotypes into CHO cells and mediated HSV entry into activated human T-cells. |
Subunit: |
Interacts with TRAF2 TRAF3 and TRAF5. |
Subcellular Location: |
Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein (Probable). |
Tissue Specificity: |
Widely expressed with the highest expression in lung spleen and thymus. |
Ptm: |
N-glycosylated. |
Similarity: |
Contains 3 TNFR-Cys repeats. |
