Genway ID:
GWB-630C59
Isotype:
IgG
Immunogen:
Recombinant extracellular domain (Human) expressed in insect Sf 21 cells.
Antigen Species:
Human
Target:
CD30
Localization:
Type I membrane protein (long isoform); cytoplasmic (short isoform).
Concentration:
0. 1 mg/ml Storage
Preservative:
NoneConstituents: PBS
Application Note:
ELISA: Use at a concentration of 0. 5 - 1 µ g/ml. This concentration detects a limit of approximately 0. 16 ng/well of human CD30. WB: Use at a concentration of 0. 1 - 0. 2 µ g/ml. This concentration detects human CD30 at approximately 5 ng/lane and 25 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions respectively. Detects a band of approximately 100-110 kDa. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. Cellular
Localization:
Type I membrane protein (long isoform); cytoplasmic (short isoform). CD30 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the TNF receptor superfamily. CD30 was originally identified as a cell surface antigen of Hodgkins and Reed-Sternberg cells using monoclonal antibody Ki-1. The ligand for CD30 is CD30L (CD153). The binding of CD30 to CD30L mediates pleiotropic effects including cell proliferation activation differentiation and apoptotic cell death. CD30 has a critical role in the pathophysiology of Hodgkins disease and other CD30+ lymphomas. CD30 acts as a costimulatory molecule in thymic negative selection. In addition to its expression on Hodgkins and Reed- Sternberg cells CD30 is also found in some non-Hodgkins lymphomas (including Burkitts lymphomas) virus-infected T and B cells and on normal T and B cells after activation. In T cells CD30 expression is present on a subset of T cells that produce Th2-type cytokines and on CD4+/CD8+ thymocytes that coexpress CD45RO and the IL4 receptor.
Function:
Receptor for TNFSF8/CD30L. May play a role in the regulation of cellular growth and transformation of activated lymphoblasts. Regulates gene expression through activation of NF-kappa-B.
Subunit:
Interacts with TRAF1 TRAF2 TRAF3 and TRAF5.
Subcellular Location:
Isoform Long: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Subcellular Location:
Isoform Short: Cytoplasm.
Ptm:
Phosphorylated on serine and tyrosine residues.
Disease:
Most specific Hodgkin disease associated antigen.
Similarity:
Contains 6 TNFR-Cys repeats.
