Anti Thy-1 is mitogenic for resting T-cells and induces IL-2 secretion from normal T-cells and T-cell hybridomas. We recommend using 1ug to stain 1. 0 x 106 cells in flow cytometric applications. Depending on the particular application some variance can be expected. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.

May play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other events in the brain.

Contains 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain.
