Human/monkey anti-porcine type II collagen IgG antibody assay kit, TMB

The Collagen-Induced Arthritis (CIA) monkey model uses injections of complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) emulsified with heterologous type II collagen to induce autoimmune arthritis. The development of antibodies to the heterologous collagen used for immunization is an important factor in the development of the CIA model. Given the highly conserved sequence of type II collagen, the antibodies against the immunized collagen can cross-react to autologous type II collagen in the experimental animal. This kit allows for the chartacterization of the immune response to immunization of porcine type II collagen in the monkey CIA model.
