Storage Conditions	Store lyophilized protein at -20C. Reconstituted protein is stable for 1 week at 2-4C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C with a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) as a stabilizer. Please note that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description	Recombinant Beta Lactamase is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 263 amino acids.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution in water containing 20 mM Phosphate buffer, pH 7.0
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening. First add sterile distilled water to the vial to fully solubilize the protein to a concentration not less than 100 ug/ml. After complete solubilization of the protein, it can be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Specificity	1, 500 IU/mg. One unit will hydrolyze 1.0 umole of indicated substrate per min at pH 7.0 at 25C. The International Unit (using benzylpenicillin as substrate) is approximately equal to 600 Levy or 75 Pollock units.
Endotoxin Level	<0.1 ng/ug of protein.
