Description	The FGF family plays central roles during prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-19, a member of the FGF family, is a high affinity heparin dependent ligand for FGFR4. FGF-19 is expressed during the brain development and embryogenesis. Recombinant human FGF-19 is a 21.8 kDa protein containing 195 amino acid residues.
Endotoxin Level	Less than 0.1 ng per ug (1 EU/ug).
Formulation	Sterile filtered through a 0.2 micron filter. Lyophilized from 5 mM Tris, pH 7.6 + 75 mM NaCl.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4C for 1 week or -20C for future use.
Storage and Stability	The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20C. Reconstituted FGF-19 should be stored in working aliquots at -20C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles as they will result in some loss of activity.
