Description	KRT20 is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. This cytokeratin is a major cellular protein of mature enterocytes and goblet cells and is specifically expressed in the gastric and intestinal mucosa. The type I cytokeratin genes are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21.

Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening. First add sterile water to the vial to fully solubilize the protein to a concentration not less than 100 ug/ml. After complete solubilization of the protein, it can be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Storage and Stability	Store lyophilized protein at -20C to -80C. Reconstituted protein is stable for 1 week, at 2-4C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C with a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) as a stabilizer. Please note that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
