BioTeZ offers a polymerized Streptavidin (molecular weight >2.000 kDa), the Polystreptavidin R, characterized by an extraordinary high Biotin binding capacity. Polystreptavidin R is a coating solution concentrate. It has a very high chemo- and thermostability, excellent adsorption capabilities and low unspecific bindings. Polystreptavidin R coatings serve the functionalization of surfaces to bind biotinylated compounds with a Biotin binding capacity of the type "Maximum Capacity". It is very suitable for adsorptive coating membranes, beads, microfluidic systems, biochips, microplates etc. The coating surfaces may be made of the following materials: Nitrocellulose, ceramics or plastics like Polystyrene, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, Poly(methyl methacrylate) PMMA or Polyamides. Of particular note are the enormous savings of material and costs when using Polystreptavidin R instead of Streptavidin for coating membranes for lateral flow tests.
