Comments	IRS1 encodes a protein (insulin receptor substrate 1) which is phosphorylated by insulin receptor tyrosine kinase. Mutations in IRS1 are associated with type II diabetes and susceptibility to insulin resistance.
Technical Notes	Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, IHC-p: 1:100-1:300, IF: 1:200-1:1000, ELISA: 1:20000. Not yet tested in other applications.
