Anti-GATA4

Transcription factor GATA-4 is a protein that belongs to the GATA family of zinc finger transcription factors. Members of this family recognize the GATA motif which is present in the promoters of many genes. It is expressed in adult vertebrate heart, gut epithelium, and gonads. This protein is thought to regulate genes involved in embryogenesis and in myocardial differentiation and function. Mutations in this gene have been associated with cardiac septal defects as well as reproductive defects. Using rodent and cell culture models, Heineke et al. (2007) showed that Gata4 has a role in cardiac angiogenesis.

Purified, in TBS (pH7.4), 0.5% BSA, 40% Glycerol and 0.05% Sodium Azide.

Store at 2-8C (Short Term). Aliquot and store at -20C for long term. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
