DE3 Chemically Competent Cell (CamR)

DE3 Chemically Competent Cell is designed for chemical transformation of DNA. This cell is resistant to chloramphenicol (Cam^R), with a transformation efficiency of over 10⁷ cfu/µg DNA (tested by pUC19 plasmid DNA). The control plasmid (Amp⁺) is used for detection of cell expression functions (protein size: ~25 kDa). tRNAs for 6 rare codons (AUA, AGG, AGA, CUA, CCC, GGA) enhance the expression level of proteins in the prokaryotic system.

The genotype is: F^- ompT hsdSB(r_B^-m_B^-) gal dcm lacY1(DE3)pRARE(argU, argW, ileX, glyT, leuW, proL)(Cam^R).

The 1 ml size consists of 10 × 100 µl Competent Cells, and 20 μl (0.1 ng/μl) Control Plasmid pUC19.

Contains ≤ 10% glycerol.

Store at -70 °C for up to 6 months. Do not store in liquid nitrogen. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
